Rinse the chicken wings and dry them thoroughly with paper towels. Remove the wing tips, then divide each wing into its two remaining sections.

Peel the onion and garlic and cut them into larger pieces. Place them in a food processor and finely chop.

Transfer the onion and garlic mixture to a bowl. Add the tomato paste, cane sugar, oil, grill seasoning, ground black pepper, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly to make the marinade.

Preheat the grill well and lightly oil the grill grate.

Coat the chicken wing pieces in the marinade and arrange them on the hot grill.

Grill the wings for about 10 to 15 minutes, until golden brown, turning them once during cooking.

Arrange the cooked wings on a serving plate decorated with lettuce leaves and the pickled green chili peppers. Serve with the sour cream or another dipping sauce.
